Traditional with a Twist
Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 2:16AM

This stunning home I found while browsing our local real estate listings. The decor is quite traditional, but with the muted tones it feels quite fresh and young. The lack of clutter helps too. I would say this fits my style to a tee. So much so I would be more than happy to move right in without changing a thing, love that.

Gorgeous!!!!
That is beautiful. It is a home that has been well cared for, with lots of attention to detail. Love it!
I think I'm in love. Seriously, I could move right in.
Paula, this reminds me so much of one of my favorite homes from Cottage living. I wonder if it is the same decorator of if the owners of the house in CL moved into this place....I am going to try to find that magazine!! Love it!!!
Maybe they'll sell it completely furnished...
Beautiful! I saw this one on the MLS the other day and loved it!
gorgeous...just gorgeous.
xo
The word that springs to mind is sumptuous! Looks like a house I could be very comfortable in.
xx
This is beautiful. I think my favorite thing throughout is the lighting - there's nothing harsh, and there are fabulous shadows all over the place.
BTW - glad to see someone else stalks Bham MLS like I do! --Katy
THAT is an amazing house...love it!
I just found you via pure style....I think I'm rather smitten! Love the house. Love the vibe!
I have to agree -I'd move in and hardly change a thing. Okay, I'd relocate that lucite table - for something that's transparent, it's oddly distracting in this space. Other than that, I'm in love!
Trad with a Twist is so my style too! Great find, adore this home!
I agree it beautiful!!!! I especially love the dark dinning room. -so moody.
p.s. I love the picture from yesterdays post. so fun!
It's lovely, they have great style, timeless! xx
I could move in and keep everthing they already have! Just perfect!
Oh, could I please move in tomorrow!!!!
I'm sold after seeing the first photo of the front porch. What a lovely space to enjoy a chilled glass of iced tea.
I wouldn't consider myself to be a traditional kind of gal, but I LIKE it, I mean LOVE it!! The laundy room alone had me sold! xo
There is NOTHING I love more than a good home tour of a real home. I'm with you, I would change nothing. What a dream!
it all looks so peaceful and welcoming!
I would love to move in to this house! So beautiful!
