Fleeting
Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 12:27AM
Not sure if you all remember this post I did at the beginning of February. This man, Billy Hornsby, was my number 7. It was my life changer. This is Ellie's class plus some praying for him around that same time. He had terminal cancer. Last night he went to Heaven. I praise God for the life he had here. I know Heaven is rejoicing. It is also a bitter sweet feeling to have to tell Ellie that he has gone to Jesus once she awakes. She prays for him consistently. Life is but fleeting.

I will say an extra prayer for Ellie today.
I remember this post of yours well and the sweet expression on her face as she looks to him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers...
I am so sorry. He sounds like he was an amazing person. What a blessing to have had him in your life.

I'm so sorry to hear this. This photo is very powerful - I was with a group of friends the other night and we were talking about the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick and laying hands on a person who is ill. How wonderful that your daughter's class had this opportunity.
I'm so sorry for your loss, paula. Will continue to pray you guys through the grief and healing.
Prayers for your loss, Paula. Praises that he is now in the comforting arms of his Father in heaven.
I'm so sorry. death is never easy, even when expected. i love what Psalm 116:15 (amplified bible) says......
Precious (important and no light matter) in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints (His loving ones).
Hugs to you all!

I do remember this post and I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sad for Ellie but I know the Lord will help her to understand. Thinking about you today.
I do remember and have prayed for him before. I will say a prayer for Ellie now too. Yes, life is precious and time spent with special people is pure treasure!
Paula,
I remember when you first posted this and it hit my heart because we lost my husband's brother to pancreatic cancer last year. We know where he is too, but its just so tough. Your blog is so inspirational, please keep going!
