Locally Inspired

I adore this home. I came across it in the Birmingham Home & Garden magazine which has quickly become my favorite home design publication. The home was shot my Jean Allsopp who is quite brilliant with interior photography. This gorgeous home is owned by interior designer Pandy Agnew. She bought the forlorn home for $75,000 and did a total renovation within the original footprint. I love the charm she added to a home that I would have probably overlooked. Now I am thinking of all the possibilities that could take place with our next move. I am quite inspired by Agnew's transformation.

I just adore those lights in the kitchen, they are so much fun and they add the right amount of sparkle to the space. Love the fact that they worked with what was there and polished it up, a true diamond in the rough!

Love the chartreuse door! What a great transformation - gorgeous!

Do they give credits on where the light fixtures came from? The turquoise one over the dining table, the kitchen hanging lights and the burlap one??? Thanks.

Mrs. Agnew and my mom grew up together! She decorated our house. I pretty much love that lady (besides she has great taste in names....she named her daughter sunny...lol)

Daniel's parents almost bought that house and I told his mom if she didn't then Daniel and I were going to buy it. Obviously we didn't. I can't believe the transformation, they did a great job. I love the lighting over the island, do you know where its from?

The magazine didn't state where the light fixtures are from. It does say the the ones in the kitchen are vintage though. They may be to the trade since Pandy Agnew is a designer. Aren't they gorgeous!

Totally charming, comfortable, rustic, and stylish. Such creative ideas here, and all the lighting is fab, esp. the rope "chain" on the kitchen pendants. Briliant!
