The Gibson Light

After finally having a chance to sit down and read the new Trad Home I became instantly smitten. I adore the fresh take on traditional design that was highlighted throughout the issue. It reminds me greatly of what I try to achieve in my own home. I am routed in traditional design yet I want my home to feel young and family oriented. Anyway, what struck me most was the top image that was designed by Lauren Gold and Sasha Adler. I could easily see my family gathered around the gracious island. The more I studied the kitchen space the more I realized how much I LOVE the lighting. It may have moved up to my new favorite light in which I can not actually afford, but I still adore it. It is from Urban Electric and that is where I also came across the second kitchen, simply gorgeous.

YES!! I have been lusting over these lights as well...but the $1700+ price tag makes it a lust, love, want, but will most likely not have any time soon. I could pretty much outfit our entire home in UE lights, love them all.

DREAM kitchens, dream lighting.

So pretty and different, which is what I like about them the most. I have yet to read every page of Trad Home. Still trying to wake up!

Out of my budget too, but one can dream!!!

That wood treatment on the ceiling is awesome and looks amazing with that lighting. Gorgeous!

These kitchens are beautiful. I actually almost used those light fixtures in my kitchen, but it was one of the last things and by this time in the project I decided to go with Jamie Young...much less expensive. I love the ceilings in the second photo and the shelves to the left with all the mixed up spices. makes me glad I didn't organize mine in all like jars. You know they REALLY cook in this gorgeous kitchen. One more thing...love that shelf with stacks of bowls right in front of the window.
