A Reader's Laundry Room
Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 6:36AM

When a reader mentioned that she had a similar layout to our laundry room and that they just did a little makeover on the space I was more than eager to see some images. I must say I was instantly smitten with it and begged to post it. At first she was hesitant, but I sure am happy I got the go ahead! This is what I would LOVE our space to mimic. Unfortunately I don't have two front loaders, cabinets, and my space is a bit more awkward than hers. Ha. The ikea buthcer block counter would be a divine space to fold laundry and do small projects. Oh, and you know how much I love the jars!!! I think my laundry room has some hope though so I have finally decided to bring in a pro to help me out and get it organized for good. This shall be my inspiration.

What a laundry room - LOVE it. I'm glad I found my way back to your blog, always inspirational.
Love the wood shelf on top of the appliances. What a great idea!
I LOVE doing laundry (strange I know), so I adore this laundry room. I love the personal look of the room. The accessories take the focus off of the washer and dryer which is great. I can't wait to see what you and the organizer come up with!
Love this. I see so many over the top laundry rooms (which are beautiful), but it's nice to see something that the rest of us could do. Love the butcher block idea. FYI-if you can't get to Ikea, Lumber Liquidators in Homewood has cuts of butcher block for a great price!
Our laundry room/pantry in our new house is very similar to this one. I will have to show you some pictures when we get moved in and I get some good ones! I love it!
LOVE IT! Beautiful and functional...a place for folding!
Our laundry needs some inspiration. With its concrete floor we've considered staining or painting the existing floor for an industrial "chic" look. Does anyone have experience with this? How difficult is it? H ave you seen a finished product? How does it look?
Looks great. We used the Ikea butcher block countertops as Michael's desktop in his office and they look great!
