Mother's Day with Minted {a giveaway}
Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 6:12AM I cannot believe it is already May! Time is flying by much too quickly for my taste. I suppose it's not too bad though since May is one of my favorite months. It's not too hot yet, wedding season is in full swing, my mother celebrates her birthday, Ellie gets out of school for summer, and of course my favorite... Mother's Day. I am not sure about you, but I truly believe one can not have too many journals or personalized stationary. Minted comes to the rescue as always with gorgeous goods. I think these would make great Mother's Day gifts...

I use personalized notes all the time, and I love to receive a letter in the mail any day, rather than the bills or junkmail. It's sad to me that handwritten words of thanks, encouragement, or “just because” have almost become a lost art. The internet has taken place it seems.
My father passed away two years ago this July. My mother was doing some cleaning last month in the garage and found a box filled with notes that they had written to each other. (My daddy had saved them all) They started back to the days when they were dating, while daddy was away in the Air Force, after they got back from their honeymoon, and also on special occasions like when I or my brother was born. There were over 300 of these notes in the box.
My mother has read each and every one, cried happy tears filled with memories, and has felt my daddy's love in the room even when he wasn't. I'm going home this weekend to read them for myself! Tears are sure to flow once again.

Oh, wow! I've not seen this brand before! I especially love the first picture, the one that looks wreath-like. Such a welcoming look. The yellow sunny 'hello' one just makes me happy!
