The Laundry Room Re-Do {my home}

I finally finished the laundry room! Well mostly really. If you recall it's beyond tiny and completely awkward. It also serves as the pass through from the house to the garage. Did I mention it was tight? It was simple fix and it only took me 6 years to figure it out. Ha. I added two more shelves and it changed the whole space and the way it functions. The top shelf is dedicated to my fabrics. The second to odds and ends that need a spot and the bottom goes to the daily needs. I can not tell you how much more I like going in there. It was the one room that used to send me into a tail spin with all the mess. Now I don't even mind if the door is left open when people pop by. The rolling rack was also a life saver. As laundry gets finished I can just wheel it room to room and unload. The art may make me the most happy. I wanted something feminine and that spoke to me. I instantly knew pieces from Clare of Tastes Orangey would be perfect and I was even more in awe once they arrived. In all it's not the most fabulous space ever, but it was budget friendly and serves me well!

You've managed to make a space that's mostly for utility also become really pretty, too! Love all of the organization you have on the shelves.

Paula! This is fabulous!!! LOVE that art and all your storage! I have been looking to get a rolling cart like that...i do not dry a lot of things and that would be a perfect place to hang. I would not mind doing laundry in that space one bit:)

That looks fantastic and so organized. I saw this when you posted it on Instagram and you inspired me to at least start organizing my tiny laundry space, too. I hung some art and got some cute storage baskets from HomeGoods, so I'm on my way! Thank you!

Well done! And I love the art. I actually just pulled out a picture by Tastes Orangey as well, and it's now on display on my dresser. I love her work!

It looks great! I know the feeling of particular spaces putting you in a 'tailspin'....our back entry does it for me every day! I like what you did - practical fixes but it looks classic, neat and clean. The art is wonderful....loving those frames. Did you stain them different colors? Thanks for sharing.

this looks amazing. I have to order those pictures for myself. Can you tell me if you ordered the 8x10 large or 8x10 small for those frames?
Thank you for sharing!

I love Claire's work! I just put up three of her prints (Undress, Fall, and To the Night) in our bathroom, and I have another in our bedroom. Love your little laundry area! :)

So cute! I love those prints. I have been debating on ordering one from her. It's one of my many favorites on etsy. After seeing how cute they look I think I may have to go ahead and order one. I love seeing posts of your house. It all looks great.

Such an apropos post. My laundry room is the same as yours was -- driving me insane. I was so embarrassed the other day when I had friends over and one need edto pass through there to put dirty diaper in the garbage bin outside. Love the art and the lamp and everything seems so organized. Thanks for the inspiration -- I need it!

Your laundry room is looking great. One thing you might consider is putting up a little Roman blind (bamboo or fabric) to conceal the wire shelving. Martha did it a number of years ago and while your things are neatly organized sometimes it's nice not to look at mismatched socks at all:)
